QDN is an organisation by and for people with a disability. QDN is working with Queenslanders with a disability to support them to be prepared for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Here are some of the things we are doing:

Local support groups

A Local Support Group is a peer group of people with disability, who get together to learn, share stories, make connections and support each other, with a focus on the NDIS.

This program is funded through the Disability Support Organisation project, through the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

Support groups in North Brisbane are located in Brisbane, Deception Bay, Kallangur, Fitzgibbon and Northlakes

Ready to go

Ready to go is supporting Queenslanders with intellectual or learning disability to get ready for the NDIS, through face to face workshops and online activities facilitated by people with disability.

It's our aim to build the capacity of people with intellectual or learning disability to plan for and be ready for the NDIS.

This project is funded by the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services, as part of the NDIS Participant Readiness Initiative.
