NDIA Release Mental Health Access Snapshots

18 May, 2018

The following Mental Health Access Snapshots have been released by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to provide more specific and detailed information for people with a psychosocial disability, their carers and support people, including service providers.

The five snapshots are:

  • Snapshot 1 – General information
  • Snapshot 2 – Impairment
  • Snapshot 3 – Recovery
  • Snapshot 4 – Functional capacity
  • Snapshot 5 – NDIS and Other Services

The snapshots outline how the NDIS works with other government systems to support people who experience mental health issues, whether to request NDIS access, and what is involved with the application process. They have been co-designed with members of the National Mental Health Sector Reference Group and people with lived experience.
