International Overdose Awareness Day
- Fri 31 Aug 2018
International Overdose Awareness Day is held on the 31st August each year and aims to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of drug-related death.
The 2018 theme “Time to Remember. Time to Act”, acknowledges the grief felt by family and friends remembering those who have died or had a permanent injury as the result of a drug overdose, plus sharing the message that overdose death is preventable.
There are many ways to show your support including wearing a badge or wristband, attending an event, downloading promotional resources to share within your service, or posting a tribute on social media.
