6-Week Mindfulness Program: Deep Rest Mediation (iRest Nidra Yoga)

When you enter a phase in your life during which you are vulnerable to stress, anxiety or depression, you tend to lose touch with what is happening around you and the small things in life that might have given you pleasure.

Our mindfulness program can help you develop skills for life to increase your awareness, feel more relaxed and get back in touch with the experience of being alive. The sessions incorporate elements from evidence-based programs and therapies such as:

Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Positive Psychology.

Our Mindfulness Program is ideal for adults who:

- Have been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder;
- Tend to feel worried and anxious;
- Have been feeling stressed for a while.

The Mindfulness Program consists of six weekly 90-minute sessions:

Week 1: Introduction. Intentions. Heart-felt desires.

Week 2: Inner resource.

Week 3: Body sensing. Breath awareness.

Week 4: Welcoming emotions.

Week 5: Witnessing your thoughts.

Week 6: Exploring joy and lasting peace. Reflection on your practice.

Further Information

Come ready for an experiential course where you will practise mindfulness, meditation, gentle exercises and relaxation techniques. Self-practice at home will be encouraged throughout the week for you to keep developing your new skills and strategies to cope with stress and anxiety.

You can wear your regular office attire, as long as it is comfortable and allows you to sit and move freely. Changing rooms are available if you prefer to change your clothes before the session starts.
